At the corner of Western and Lawrence is this shop that's been open since 1847 (they have another location in the Macy's on State Street), they stock up on obscure and not so obscure beauty and grooming lines for men, women and baby alike, such as 4711, California Baby, Caswell Massey, Claus Porto, Dreiturm Kosmetik, Elgydium, EO, Pour Homme,Taylor of London, Tiger Balm, Toms of Maine and Weleda. The only thing we don't like about it is the old- fashioned pharmacy set- up (they pre-date The Devil in the Windy City so at least you know it's authentic), with everything behind glass cases means a sales person gets involved with your selection but if you know what you want or are after an osbscure brand, this spot may have it.
