This old grocery bodega is most well known for making their own pasta daily and that is what makes it a winner. Most dishes aren't over- sauced as a result. The three course menu is popular with diners (and at the price can't be beat) but best when you have a large group because some dishes are better than others and you don't necessarily get to pick the three best on your own. But doing the menu but with a larger party; you could share. In this way, this tiny restaurant is surprisingly accommodating to big groups so book ahead as space can be an issue. Now back to the menu. We loved the polenta with Fontina and asparagus and the baked swiss chard pasta with bolognese sauce best. Surprisingly we didn't like the gnocchi with seafood and we gave this three tries. Simply put, the seafood overwhelms the gnocchi. FYI it's BYOB, which to some is a plus and to others a detraction.
