The Burlington Club is that rare place where one can actually spend a whole evening. Drinks. Eats. Minus the massive taxi bill to and from spot to spot. That it's all affordable and the door staff is actually nice makes it. Our scout said, 'ridiculously friendly for London' which we consider a big plus. In fact, we think it's that quality that's brought in a who's who already, namely Jude Law, The Scissor Sisters, Goldfrapp, Kelly Osborne, Gwen Stefani and Tracey Emin. So come here, avoid the whole footballers wives scene of other spots and try out head chef Rafael Chicano's menu. He's won awards for his tapas dishes which include tuna tataki with lavender foam and some other unusual mixes and we loved the chocolate golf ball dessert. There's also the ever-desirable outdoor seating (in good weather of course) and the house cocktail, the Burlington (a long drink with Bison Grass vodka, sugar, lime, organic apple juice and fresh mint) is refreshing. After 10:30 pm Simon Robinson's spot does become members slash guest list only with a roster of DJs to match at this sumptuous bar. Closed on Sundays.
