Is it possible to really recreate the grime of Shoreditch in the West End? Hmmmmmmm. This Monday to Saturday spot right near the Marble Arch tube wants to do that and has one serious thing going for it; genuinely good cocktails and Pacha slash Ministry of Sound-quality DJs (because that's where they work on other nights!) without a cover. Wow. Beyond that it's not too dingey. The industrial- looking space is dark and filled with folks apparently well acquainted with hair gel and Bond Street shops. In fact Calum Best hangs out here and that kind of says it all, no? With a staff that also looks like they're hoping to be discovered on reality TV, perhaps it's more like a bar for those who want to say they hang out in the East End but not really do so.
