The Wolseley 160 Piccadilly 011 44 207 499 6996 Down the street from the Ritz, this French bistro, with it's stunning high ceilings is at once big dining and casual. Though it has a bar open only to those waiting for dinner and a formal service for meals, the menu of oysters, souffle, salads, simple meats and fishes is unfussy and shockingly reasonable in price. A dedicated no smoking room with a tempting dessert table in the middle is a plus. Though Chris Galvin has moved on to open his own place, this spot remains super hot, especially for all those Jermyn Street hedge fund types. |
