Down the street from the Ritz, this French bistro, with it's stunning high ceilings is at once big dining and casual. Though it has a bar open only to those waiting for dinner and a formal service for meals, the menu of oysters, souffle, salads, simple meats and fishes is unfussy and shockingly reasonable in price. A dedicated no smoking room with a tempting dessert table in the middle is a plus. Though Chris Galvin has moved on to open his own place, this spot remains super hot, especially for all those Jermyn Street hedge fund types.
