Though opened in February 2002 by Giorgio and Plaxy Locatelli, it's recently gotten scorching hot here because Madonna and Donatella Versace have decided it's their home away from home. The award winning Italian food (pastas such as hand made tagliatelle with marinated sardines, grilled fish with artichoke purée and Vernaccia wine sauce, vegetable market salad) complimented by inexpensive but perfectly selected Italian wines - every single one we had was a winner, not a bad one in sight with the Sicilian ones the true standouts - makes this spot perfect for gathering with a group in one of the round booths or being seen at the corner table. The David Collins design is not for the paparazzi shy as walled mirrors make it possible to see your fellow foodies.
