Is it a pizza joint? A club? A karaoke bar? This extremely fun Italian- themed joint (from the Maggie's and Bart's folks) is all of those things. Filled with attractive Chelsea - Fulham types on dates and celebrating birthdays, this spot serves up thin- crust share- able pizzas, salads, and traditional Italian joint- type nibbles (salumi, olives, bruschetta) alongside entertainment by the staff, who break into song at disco- light lit intervals. We recommend trying the cured wild boar, the delightful soft burrata, and the chicken/ spinach/ pancetta, avocado salad. Cutely- monikered pizzas, such as the Artichoke "Heart Stealer" with tangy anchovies and anchovy oil and the Ruby Loves with spicy sausage, salami, tomatoes and mozzarella, are both good value and well- crafted. To wash it all down, an extensive drinks list is on offer. They have Dom, they have grappa, they have Nero d'Avola, but of all the choices, we like the Berlusconi Bellini best. You wouldn't think a spot with waiters in "naked statue" printed aprons and a karaoke menu (begins around 10.30) that includes everything from Survivor's Eye of the Tiger to Peggy Lee's Fever would serve such good food and drinks. But it does. A torch singer in the middle of dinner, who belts out tunes better than anyone on X Factor is icing on the cake. The best- themed restaurant we've ever been to, the infectious fun and roaring din of this spot will have you back for more.
