Some spots get reborn again and again because their iterations don't work. Not so with this space. SBE does it again with The Colony, a stunning St Bart's-esque wood-planked daybed and hammocked club that comes into the old Halo and White Lotus space, surpassing those previous successes. With its three rooms of dance floor, bar and patio, it merges beach elements with true L.A. That is, muddled watermelon drinks, a beach mural, flip flops for sale at the gift shop combined with agents, their actress clients and the perennial slightly unshaven Vincent Chase lookalikes.
