The very relaxed (this being service and patrons alike) Kokomo Café has been an L.A. destination for breakfast and lunch for decades. Serving up comfort food such as battered catfish and eggs, chicken salad, coffee cake, pumpkin pancakes, Mediterranean salad, and Arnold Palmers to such regulars as Jessica Alba, Jeremy Piven, Jodie Foster, and Drew Barrymore, the new location continues to do a brisk business. Owner Alberto Diaz (Eat Well) replaced Eat Well with his Kokomo Café and it’s business as usual, with lots of folks happy as clams in the sunny outdoors of this corner spot on Martel. In fact, we’d say it epitomises what Los Angeles is known for. Light, uncomplicated eating such as fresh greens, and a warmer, outdoor lifestyle.
