I want me Lucky Charms...at Clover, a unique shop in the up-and-coming artsy Silver Lake section. Under the creative design of couple Drea Kadilak and Nelsen Valentine, Clover displays custom-made hats, hatboxes, handmade furniture, cookbooks, and clothes. Straw, cotton duck, wool felt, and natural fabrics popular with the 21st century Bohemian population abound. But it's not just moderately-priced arts and crafts...Fred Segal and Barney-like brands such as James Perse also make an appearance along with $7,000 furniture pieces (Frank Gehry is a fan) and a modest art gallery in the back room. Like its location, Clover proves that the new hippies are more than just charming. They might actually get a chance at being hip.
