NEW YORK, March 22, 2000 - Building on the companies' partnership announced last month, HipGuide, a provider of local and travel leisure guides for jet set urbanites, and Multimate.net, a leading application service provider, announced today an extended and expanded marketing alliance that will bring branded instant messaging and chat capabilities called "Instant Rendezvous" (IR) wirelessly via WAP devices, including cellular phones and wireless-enabled PDAs to HipGuide users. Multimate.net currently provides an exclusive, custom HipGuide version of the IR web client via the HipGuide Web site (www.hipguide.com) The expansion of the partnership will allow users of HipGuide the ability to chat and send instant messages to each other, and also receive promotional information on future HipGuide events using their wireless devices. The IR services are branded on the Web with HipGuide's look and feel. Through IR Wireless, HipGuide users will be able to send and receive instant messages and receive site announcements by access IR wireless from any WAP-enabled device. HipGuide IR Wireless is scheduled for release Spring 2000.
