East End darling Star Room expands to Manhattan and takes over the old Serena space to great success. Charles Ferri and Vekrum Kaushik have literally given this spot star power, from the karaoke nights (where all manners of brave and bold take over the mike) to Sky Nellor's regular gigs. The front room is tittilatingly named Room 100 where Sid famously murdered Nancy (don't go looking for it, it no longer exists) and various drinks are archly named for various other Chelsea Hotel guests. And it doesn't hurt that Star Lounge has a best girl friend in our friend Heather Graham and that they've scooped up Alex Ancheta who ably handled Manor and Retox.
