From Larry Kramer and Craig Koenig (owners of Retreat) comes this spot just north of Great Jones Street on the Bowery. Sure to be haunted by the kind of celebs that love their bars (such as La Lohan, Adrian Grenier, Mike Meyers, Avril Lavigne and Mischa Barton), Antik is a box-sized antidote - there’s space for just 74 people and eight tables - for all those who want waitress service but not the hefty hidden charges that can sometimes come with bottle service. Done up in a modern baroque red and gold theme with marble tables, the focus becomes patrons since 20s inspired drinks, such as the scrumptious Champagne Cobbler, Old Fashioned, and Hemingway Daiquiri come to you. With rotating DJs, you won’t want to leave, but cleverly the owners also have a British- inspired pub just downstairs. (Called King’s Cross after the London neighbourhood, you can belly up to the traditional looking but very elegant bar, should you be after something more hops- driven.)
