Like any good society matron, the perenially hot Whiskey Blue just celebrated their tenth anniversary - with a fabulous makeover. The new look is one of classic library. Gone is the big bed and in its place are classic club room touches, leather club chairs, literaryish wall art, and an appropriately scaled back cocktail service. No more pushing bottle service for this spot; hospitality is the new Blue? It works. The crowds jam in here still for the top 40 'heavy on the hip hop and Michael' mix and, though touristy on the weekdays, and bridge and tunnely on the weekends, it doesn't stop the chic city folk from joining right in especially as the new egalitarian- yet- hosted feel works. It just does. A few pricey but tasty sparkling wines later and off we stumble to do some shopping at the W store across the foyer.
