Our favourite thing about this 187 room, 14 floor luxury hotel is the heated outdoor, glass-surrounded, 45 foot pool with underwater music. Alumni from the Library Hotel, the Bryant Park Hotel, Aria Hotel (Prague), Hotel Giraffe, Hotel Elysée, and the Casablanca are what's going to make this spot a success. Designed by architect Stephen B. Jacobs and interior designer Andi Pepper, and run by Henry Kallan with Elon Kenchington as his G.M., no other spot that's opened in the MPD changes the way this neighbourhood looks as much as this architecturally modern building. And it isn't just the constant colour changes of the illuminated glass columns, the hotel's canopy wraps around the entire corner of 9th Ave and 13th. You'll find us lounging on the roof deck or in Ono, Jeffrey Chodorow's spot (the one we first told you was going to be hot in August of 03.)
