Andre Balazs is making a run at the hostel crowd. Well, one with hotel cash to spend anyway: $125 and up, doll. His pint sized hotel in Times Square features a very YMCA-esque pool just as you walk in, enclosed in glass for all the world to see you strutting your stuff, small rooms with faux-strich upholstery in an Alice-In-Wonderland setting - the corridors get smaller as you get to your room. Which was particularly weird for HipGuide's tipster Steve as his shaved head got closer and closer to the hair-wallpaper on the ceilings.
