Popular and festive every day of the week, we feel pretty assured saying the evening you spend here will be one of the best of your life. This truly authentic slice of Cuba offers mojitos w fresh sugarcane and a series of fabulous Latin dishes, one better than the next; from scrumptious chicken croquetas and a traditional chicken soup with avocado to bistec de Palomilla (traditional Cuban steak) and three different kinds of paella including one for veggies. The musts are a pollo guajira (chicken stuffed with sweet plantain, cheese, onion, mushroom and zucchini) that is perfection on a plate and a lime seafood ceviche that is as refreshing as they come. We suggest you order two sides of maduros (plantains) so you won't have to fight over them! Named after the unofficial national anthem by Joseito Diaz (about a girl from Guantánamo), there's also a live band to rival the best guajira rhythms this side of Havana and hand rolled cigars. Prepare to spend a whole night here celebrating life (as were many of the couples, group parties and bon vivants.) Just don't forget to finish it all off with the best tres leches in town.
