This extremely beautiful restaurant has an old world look and an old world feel that makes it at once a scene and yet someplace to take someone you want to impress. Serving up contemporary American and French inspired classics, breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night, this spot has something for everyone on its menu -- provided you aren't bargain hunting. It isn't inexpensive, with most things in the $30s and $40s, but this effort from the Koch Brothers and the Ginza group deserves a visit. The bartenders make delicious drinks including a slew of non- alc concoctions featuring fresh berries and various muddled things. A nice steak pleased our table as did the pain perdu dessert but what we think it will turn out to be a is a hotspot for those who don't want to deal with the ultra sceney scene of the nearby Standard or the tourists at Pastis.
